The AVA gallery in partnership with Spier is an NPO, PBO contemporary art gallery
The AVA gallery’s mandate is to provide a professional gallery platform for artists and curators to develop cultural capital through exhibition exposure and critical dialogue. The AVA Gallery since its inception in 1971 has gone from strength to strength, meeting its mandate every year and improving its internal delivery systems. This achievement has been made possible through the support of the wider arts community.
Unfortunately though the AVA has gone from strength to strength in terms of delivery, it finds itself on the brink of becoming compromised by the national funding crises in South Africa. Much needed support has not been forth coming from the National Lottery Board and others which currently and since 2008. The AVA has successful fundraised in many different ways over the last 5 years but further support is needed.
The AVA Gallery is kicking off its fundraising strategy with a megastar art auction that is unmissable.

The Gallery, in partnership with Spier, invites you to join us at the AVA for this exciting event. All proceeds from the auction of works, generously donated by South Africa’s most notable and respected artists, will advance the AVA Gallery’s continued exhibition excellence and Artreach programme.If you are unable to join us for this fantastic evening of GREAT art and good company; the AVA gallery will assist you with absentee and telephone bids.
